As one of the oldest and most recognizable landmarks in the area, Coleman Funeral Home is a stately ode to Olive Branch history. Established in 2015, our funeral home and cemetery has evolved greatly over the years to accommodate the evolving needs of our community. Yet our commitment to service remains the same. Even as we modernize our services and facilities, we stay true to our belief that honoring and celebrating life is deeply sacred and personal.

Glenn Coleman
Co-owner and Funeral Director/Embalmer
Glenn Coleman is a lifelong resident of Lafayette County. He opened Coleman Funeral Home in March 2004 as a way to give back to his community. Glenn serves as the company’s lead funeral director, embalmer, and crematory operator. He works with staff on a daily basis to provide the best care and support for our families during their time of need. He is active in building relationships with families, community partners, and national representatives to better Coleman Funeral Home.
He is a graduate of Oxford High School. He holds a bachelor of business administration from The University of Mississippi. He also earned an associate's degree in mortuary science from Northwest Mississippi Community College. Prior to opening Coleman Funeral Home, he served as a funeral director at Memphis Funeral Home, Holly Springs Funeral Home, and Moore Funeral Home in Sardis.
Glenn serves as Deputy Lafayette County Coroner, a position he has held for the last 10 years. He is also a member of the Northwest Mississippi Community College Advisory Board for the Funeral Service Technology Program at the DeSoto Center. As a member of this board, he is instrumental in shaping the professional career of future graduates in the industry. Aside from his advisory board and deputy coroner duties, Glenn is an avid hunter and fisher, and member of the Eagle Scouts Troop 146.
Through Coleman Funeral Home, Glenn is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association (MFDA), and the International Cemetery, Cremation, and Funeral Association (ICCFA). He is also a licensed pre-need insurance agent.
Glenn and his wife, Nichole Massey Coleman, originally of Courtland, MS, have three children - Mary-Massey and Gage Perkins and Sarah-Kay Coleman. They are currently attending Yellow Leaf Baptist Church in Oxford.
Tom Fowlkes
Co-owner and CFO
Tom Fowlkes, MD, has practiced medicine and led successful service businesses in the Oxford area for more than 25 years. His experience has also included serving intermittently as Deputy Medical Examiner and having completed the state’s death investigation training course.
A native of Clarksdale, he attended The University of the South at Sewanee and graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis. He is double board certified in both emergency medicine and addiction medicine. Tom and his wife, Vicki Rowland Fowlkes, are members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and have three daughters.
Ashley Bowlan
Funeral Director and Embalmer
Ashley Bowlan is an Olive Branch native and serves the company as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He previously served in this role in Atlanta, GA, for seven years, where he maintains his license. In this position, Ashley works with families in arrangement conferences, overseeing visitations and services, completing paperwork to ensure death certificates and other items needed to be filled on behalf of the family are done so in a timely manner. He works with the company on community outreach and training many of our office assistants and apprentices. Ashley is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), Mississippi Funeral Directors Association (MFDA) as a Northern District Governor and is licensed to assist families with future burial and cremation planning.
A graduate of Olive Branch High School, Ashley expanded his education at Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA. Here, he earned an associate of science degree in funeral service and was a member of the Phi Sigma Eta National Morticians Fraternity. He was also awarded an academic achievement award for his studies and the college’s perfect attendance award for his dedication to learning in the classroom.
Outside of Coleman Funeral Home, Ashley enjoys traveling to Fort Lauderdale, FL, road trips with his friends, spending time with his family and nephews (Matthew and Andrew), and learning about funeral service history. He also cherishes the time he can spend with his dachshund mix, Wilton. Ashley is a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church in Olive Branch and the Olive Branch Rotary Club.
Diane Schafer
Funeral Director
Diane grew up in the Memphis area and graduated from Memphis Technical High School. Her life has been of service to others, mostly as a licensed hairstylist and currently as a licensed Funeral Director.
After moving back to the Midsouth area, Diane started work as a receptionist and hostess for a local funeral home. As part of her nature, she wanted to help others and be more involved. Diane started an apprenticeship to become a funeral director and graduated from John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, earning her license.
She and her husband, Harry have resided in Olive Branch since 2009. Before the birth of her granddaughter, Zoe, she and her husband, Harry lived in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia due to Harry’s United States Navy duty, from which he retired after 30 years. Harry and Diane have raised four children together, Harry’s children, Kimberly and Michael plus Diane has two children of her own, Dr. Angela Hopper (Tony) of Olive Branch and Marty Massey of Cordova, TN. Angela is the director of the Mortuary Science Program at Northwest Mississippi Community College and Marty is a lieutenant on the Memphis Fire Department.
Commitment to others has always been in her character. Diane was very involved during their military life as President of the US Dwight D. Eisenhower Wives Club and a liaison with the Navy Ombudsmen for the military spouses of the aircraft carrier when deployed. Diane and Harry have been the Mississippi Directors for the Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association, local chapter, MS-Y. Diane also belongs to the Red Hat Society local chapter, Memphis Red Hat Divas, and is involved with the Memphis Tech alumni. The most important objective to Diane is the care and concern she has for each and every family she serves at the most difficult time of their lives.
Anna Payton Butler
Funeral Director and Embalmer
Anna Payton Butler is a native of Sardis, MS and resides there with her husband, Clay. She is a licensed funeral director and embalmer with Coleman Funeral Home and she graduated from the funeral service technology program at Northwest Mississippi Community College and was licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Funeral Service in 2021. In 2019, she graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in natural science with a minor in psychology. While at CBU, she served as a lab technician at the Medical Education and Research Institute (MERI) and Genesis in Memphis, TN.
Outside of Coleman Funeral Home, Anna Payton enjoys photography and working out. She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Memphis Alumnae Chapter and Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, MS.
Taylor Lynn Taylor
Funeral Director
Taylor Lynn Taylor is originally from Cleveland, MS. She is now a resident of Olive Branch with her husband, Conner, and son, Renly. She attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS before going on to get her Bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS majoring in psychology and minoring in sociology. While there, she worked for the Health and Anxiety Research (HART) Lab on campus. Taylor has joined Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch as a funeral apprentice and now as a licensed funeral director.
Taylor spends her free time outside of work with her friends, family, and pets. She loves animals, spending time outside, reading, and playing video games.
Perry Lee Bowlan
Funeral Assistant
Perry Lee Bowlan, a native of Olive Branch, MS, serves as a funeral assistant for Coleman Funeral Home. As a funeral assistant, Perry Lee assists with visitations, funeral and memorial services and delivering flowers to families after services. As an Olive Branch native, Perry Lee works with the company on increasing community relationships within DeSoto county.
Perry Lee graduated from Olive Branch High School, where he lettered in baseball and football. He also attended Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia. In 1966, Perry Lee began working for the Home Telephone Company (later known as Century Telephone) for 32 years. He was awarded their “Outstanding Customer Service Award.” A former Olive Branch Alderman, Olive Branch Volunteer Fire Chief, team member at Northcentral Mississippi Electric Power Association, and employee for Guardsmark, Perry Lee was inducted into the Olive Branch Hall of Fame in 2014 for his contributions to the city of Olive Branch.
Perry Lee was married to the late Charlotte Floate Bowlan for 48 years. Together the two have two children (sons, Jason and Ashley), and two grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching college sporting events, and is an ardent Ole Miss football supporter. He has been a long time member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch.
Rick Pickens
Funeral Assistant
Rickey Pickens, a native of Olive Branch, MS, serves as a funeral assistant for Coleman Funeral Home. As a funeral assistant, Rickey assists with visitations, funeral and memorial services, and delivering flowers to families after services.
Rickey graduated from Olive Branch High School in 1971, and continued his education at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS. After attending college, Rickey worked for Century Telephone from 1977 – 1998 where he was an outside plant technician and network services technician before becoming Network Services Supervisor. After he retired from Century Telephone, Rickey worked for Bay Industries as the Project and Plant Manager from 2000 – 2018. In addition to working, Rickey was a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard from 1972 – 1998 and served as the Communications Chief for 2/198th Armored Cavalry, retiring as Sergeant First Class.
Rickey is married to Mary Reid Pickens, and together they have one daughter, Angela Pickens Simpson. He is also the proud grandfather to his grandson, Collin Simpson. In his spare time, Rickey enjoys spending time with his family, working in the garden and riding horses. He and his wife are long time members of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch and are residents of the Pleasant Hill Community.
Stanley McKnatt
Funeral Assistant
Stanley McKnatt is an Olive Branch, MS, native. He serves as a funeral assistant for the company and being that he is familiar with the surrounding area, Stanley is able to work with community vendors in forming lasting relationships with Coleman Funeral Home. As a funeral assistant, Stanley works many visitations and services, interacts with the families, and assists where needed.
Before coming to Coleman Funeral Home, Stanley spent many years working for the Roadway Truck Line, served as a meter reader for the City of Olive Branch, and assists with elections.
Stanley is married to Bonnie McKnatt and has two children (daughter, Tina and son, Tim), along with five grandsons and one granddaughter. He enjoys watching his grandchildren play soccer. An avid Ole Miss Fan, Stanley enjoys watching Rebel football and basketball. His family’s favorite getaway place is Branson, MO. Stanley is a member of Bridgetown Baptist Church in Nesbit, MS.
Patsy Burnett Snider
Funeral Assistant
Patsy Burnett Snider has lived in North Mississippi for most of her life, living in Olive Branch and most recently in Hernando. She joined Coleman Funeral Home in January 2018. As the office assistant, she assists with answering the phones and fielding general questions for guests and families as they enter the facility.
Patsy is a graduate of Olive Branch High School. She has worked for Harrah’s Casino in the Security Department in Robinsonville, MS, as well as for the Mississippi Department of Medicaid in Senatobia, MS. She was the secretary for the North Mississippi Security Association and a past member of Tunica County Crime Stoppers. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the funeral home from various other industries to assist in the day-to-day operations.
Outside of Coleman Funeral Home, Patsy enjoys spending time with her daughter, Melanie, and three grandchildren, Taylor, Artie, and Emma. Patsy is also an active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoys reading, sewing, crafting, gardening, and antiquing.
Billy Loftin
Funeral Assistant
Billy Loftin was raised in Olive Branch and graduated from Olive Branch High School. As a high school student, he enjoyed playing football and baseball. After high school graduation, Billy attended Northwest Mississippi Junior College and continued playing football as a college student. After attending Northwest, he was in the profession of sales and home construction. In his leisure time, he enjoys his retirement life watching his great nieces and great nephews play sports. Billy is a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch and has a true passion for helping grieving families in their time of need.
Allen Floate
Funeral Assistant
Allen Floate, of Olive Branch, MS, works as a funeral assistant for Coleman Funeral Home. As a funeral assistant, Allen assists with visitations, funeral and memorial services, and delivering flowers to families after services.
Allen graduated from Independence High School and furthered his education as a registered nurse for thirty-two years where he specialized in mental health, home health and hospice care. Allen worked as an RN for thirty years at Parkwood Behavioral Health in Olive Branch.
Allen has two children and five grandchildren. He is married to Linda Floate and they are active members of Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Byhalia, MS. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
Cindy Eskridge
Office Manager
Cindy comes to Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch as the Office Manager after working as Office Administrator/Closing Coordinator for a local real estate firm. Prior to that experience, she spent several years working as a merchandiser for a large home improvement chain. She has a background in public relations, journalism, publication editing, working for non-profit professional organizations, conference and continuing education planning. Her greatest challenge and joy, as she says, has been the eighteen plus years spent at home, raising her family.
Cindy is a graduate of Stockbridge High School (Stockbridge, GA). She has a B.A. in Journalism/Public Relations from Georgia State University. Cindy has lived in Olive Branch for twenty years with her husband and three children. She is a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch and has taught preschool choir, children’s choir, rang in the hand bell choir, sang in their praise team and is a member of the choir. Cindy is an avid runner, enjoys raising organic herbs and vegetables and finds spending time with her family and friends one of the most rewarding ways to spend her day.
Bonnie McKnatt
Hospitality Coordinator
As a resident of Olive Branch for over 50 years, Coleman Funeral Home is honored to have Bonnie as a dedicated employee who assists the funeral home with receptions and fielding general questions for guests and families as they enter the facility. Bonnie was a hairdresser for over thirty years in Olive Branch and she continues to assist our families with any cosmetology needs.
Bonnie is married to Stanley McKnatt, and they have two children and six grandchildren. She and her family are true Ole Miss Rebel fans and they enjoy spending time watching their two grandsons play soccer. Bonnie is an avid Elvis Presley fan and also enjoys crocheting, crafts, thrift shopping and dining out in her free time.
Karen Phillips Bollinger
Business Manager
Karen Phillips Bollinger is a native of Booneville, Mississippi, and has been married to Eddie Bollinger for 34 years. Karen and Eddie met at NEMCC (Booneville) as members of Campus County.
She graduated from Jumpertown High School, NEMCC (Booneville) and Mississippi State University with a B.A. in Communications / Public Relations.
Karen joined our staff in 2022 as business manager for all of the Coleman Funeral Home locations. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, especially her grandson Watson. She also helps her husband with his business, Sound Ideas.
She and Eddie attend Derma Baptist Church where he is a Deacon and she is the Financial Ministry Assistant.
