Corey Lee Boop

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Corey Lee Boop, 29, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Olive Branch, MS. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with the memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Corey was born on September 19, 1996, in Memphis, TN, arriving a little earlier than expected. He was a very happy baby and brought joy to his whole family. He graduated high school from Center Hill, Class of ’15. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from the age of 18 until he was 28, where he was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He served in many different states and countries including Virginia, California, South Carolina, Texas, North Carolina, Korea, Poland, Germany, and Ireland. Corey was very proud to serve his country and proud to be an American. Corey was a skilled photographer for import cars. Though he loved cars, he hated mechanics. He spent a lot of time in the gym training. He spent his free time playing video games and was especially loyal to RuneScape and Call of Duty. He was huge into Japanese culture and anime, a love that was reflected in the tattoos he collected. He loved attending tattoo festivals throughout his travels and accumulated many from all over the world. Corey was always smiling, and had an infectious laugh and loving heart. His personality was larger than life, and everyone who knew him will remember his mischievous grin. He was the older brother that many wanted and needed and was a great inspiration to the younger soldiers. Corey had a pension for bringing many different types of people together. He loved deeply and considered all of his friends to be his family. Corey was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lee Boop, and paternal grandfather, William “Bill” Boop, Sr. Corey is survived by his mother, Tammie Boop; brothers, Christopher Boop (Lindsey) of Southaven, MS, Anthony Boop of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Cameron Boop of Byhalia, MS; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Mary McCarthy of Hornell, NY; paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Boop of Durham, NC; and niece, Sutton Boop of Southaven; and his cat, Marbles and dog, Olive. In honor of Corey's service to our country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home on the day of the services.
