Robert Stephen Barringer

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Robert “Robbie” Stephen Barringer, 76, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away in his home on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. There will be a private family burial held at a later date. Robert was born on September 1, 1948, in Memphis, TN, to Wanda Lea and Robert King Barringer. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in various places such as South Korea, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Athens, Greece. Robert was a member of Getwell Church of Christ in Memphis, TN for over 50 years. He later became a member of Looxahoma Church of Christ and then Berclair Church of Christ. Robert was passionate about photography, but he was most passionate about his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and kids. Robert was quiet, but strong, trustworthy, and honest. Everyone who knew him knew how sweet and kind he was. Robert is survived by his wife, Patsy June Barringer of Olive Branch; daughters, Allison Leigh Wooley of Byhalia and Amy Barringer of Olive Branch; granddaughters, Kaleigh Mills (Hunter) of Southaven, MS, Stephanie Wooley of Byhalia, Braley Rovenstine of Olive Branch, Hannah Pinon (Evan) of Como, MS, Emily Miller of Hernando, MS, and Addison Miller of Olive Branch; grandsons, Jordan Wooley of Hendersonville, TN, Shawn Wooley of Byhalia, Robert Rovenstine of Coldwater, MS, and Cody Miller of Byhalia; great-grandchildren, Faith and KennaJo Mills, Eagan and Eli Stewart, Blakely and Maggie Pinon, and River Page; and sisters, Ellen Barringer Alexander (John) of Coldwater, MS, and Sarah Barringer Bushnell (Wayne) of Brighton, TN. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Robert Barringer; son-in-law, Ken Wooley; and brother, William “Bill” Barringer. In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in Robert Barringer’s name to Spiritual Sword, P.O. Box 241925, Memphis, TN 38124. In honor of Robert Barringer's service to our country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown the day of the service.
