Sharon Bordelon Adkins

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Sharon Bordelon Adkins, 76, of Holly Springs, MS, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 12:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Pastor Chad Roberson of The Grove Baptist Church will officiate. The burial will be at a later date at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Sharon was born on August 3, 1948, in Lafayette, LA. She attended Terrebonne High School in Houma, LA, where she cheered as a Rangerette. After graduation, her high school class later formed a Prayer Warrior Group, of which she was a faithful member. Sharon worked as an MBO (Management By Objective) Analyst for FedEx for 13 years. She was family-oriented and Methodist by faith. Sharon enjoyed playing piano and inherited a love of gardening, specifically for flowers, from her mother. She spent as much time as she could outside in her flowerbeds. But above all else, Sharon’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose world revolved around those she loved. Whether she was outside playing with her grandchildren or quietly enjoying a video with them, she cherished every moment. Sharon will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Gordon; parents, Bernice and Harvey Bordelon; sisters, Connie Horne and Debbie Bordelon; and brother, David Bordelon. Sharon is survived by her husband, Garey Adkins of Holly Springs, MS; daughters, Heidi Allen (Shawn) of Cockrum, MS, and Sandi Shettles of Germantown, TN; sons, Danny Howes of Lakeland, TN, and Garey Adkins, Jr. (Tina) of Olive Branch, MS; son-in-law, Randy Gordon of Wyatte, MS; granddaughters, Kristina Scruggs (Cody) of Hernando, MS, Chelsea Self (Drew) of Sardis, MS, Cally-Ann Gordon of Wyatte, MS, Katelyn Sinclair (John) of Norfolk, VA; grandsons, Cary Allen (Jenna) of Olive Branch, Shawn Michael Allen (Cara) of Olive Branch, Steven Sartin (Cathy) of Oakland, TN, Carol-Ann Adkins of Olive Branch, Drew Adkins (Phoenix) of Southaven, MS, Timothy Adkins of Olive Branch; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Susie Bordelon (Jeff) of Houma, LA; and brother, Donnie Bordelon (Bobbye) of Loreauville, LA.
